What format is accepted for video files. I tried to upload a video and received an error.

You will get best results if you upload a .flv file.  The Course Authoring Tool will not re-compress it from that format, and it will process much quicker.  If that option isn’t available to you, the next best is .mov, followed by .avi, then .wmv.
