Assessment Screen Types

All assessments can be published in HTML5 or Flash.  HTML5 is the default format. Most assessment screens are also 508 compliant.

Multiple Choice w/ 1 Image

User has up to 6 options to choose from.
Optimal image size 400px x 300px

 

Single Choice

User can only select one choice.
Note: This template is only available in HTML5.

User has up to 8 options to choose from.

 

Label 4 Images

User matches the label to the appropriate image.

Label 8 Images

Multiple Choice w/ Images

User selects the correct image.

Order the Steps

User puts the steps in order.
Tip: On iPads, the drag ‘n drop templates become touch ‘n drop.

 

Prepare the Workspace

User drags and drops the correct images from one side of the screen to the other.

Phrase Matching

User matches the term to the provided definition.

 

 

Order the Images

User puts the images in the correct order.

What’s Wrong

User must pick the specific portion(s) of the image that is incorrect.
Optimal image size 700px x 400px (Note: this template is not 508 compliant).

 

Look

User must read a phrase, hear the audio and pick the image it matches to.
Optimal image size 200px x 150px

 

  Hear

User must pick the audio that matches the image.
Optimal image size 400px x 300px

 

 Read

User sees an image, hears the audio then must pick the correct phrase.
Optimal image size 400px x 300px

 

Talk

User sees an image, hears a phrase and then tries to successfully repeat the phrase.
Optimal image size 400px x 300px

 

lightbulbTip: HTML5 is the most widely accepted format for recent browsers.

lightbulb Tip: For images, .png’s are ideal if you want a transparent background. .jpegs have better compression so they
will have a smaller file size and load quicker.
