  • "We’re looking for a solution that supports our team working collaboratively, can your tool do that?"
    myUdutu is web based, meaning you can access it from anywhere in the world, as long as you have an internet connection. This makes it extremely accessible to any and all parties involved in the course development process. You can have subject matter experts, graphic designers, media developers and supervisors all working on a project collaboratively without having to download any software or pay any "desk top license" fees. You simply create user accounts for those who will be working on the project and they can login with their own user ID to perform their tasks.

  • "We don’t have a large budget, but need something that meets our needs at a reasonable cost. What do you charge?"
    There is absolutely no charge for using the authoring platform! You can create a course, publish it and even extract it to host on your own computer or server without ever paying a cent.     At Udutu, we believe in setting trends not following them. We have observed and anticipated e-learning trends and set the standard for a new way of thinking when it comes to course authoring and collaboration. We could spend thousands of dollars on advertising, and then charge high fees for our course authoring platform, but instead our model is to offer a powerful tool and valuable service to as many people as possible, thereby building a strong user base of creative and innovative individuals. A case in point is our launch into the Facebook arena. Why restrict training to Educational Institutions and Professors when sometimes the most creative individuals may be found in the ranks of your own staff members? They can make a powerful impact with their contribution if only they had the tools to use. With no desk top license or user fees, myUdutu has spearheaded a whole new way of tapping into the talent you never knew you had.

    How do we make money? Simple, we offer value added services such as hosting, course development, multimedia and learning object creation and even an option to purchase an entire myUdutu package which includes your own server - a perfect solution for those with security concerns or entrepreneurs who want to start their own business.

  • "Our team is definitely not technical - we are all subject matter experts. How can your tool help us?"
    myUdutu was designed with the non-technical person in mind. You don't have to know anything about coding, resizing images, editing video or even how to create flash animations such as slide shows and roll overs. Now, as a subject matter expert, you can create interactive, multimedia course easily while focusing on your content and pedagogy - not technical issues.

  • "Are you an LMS (Learner Management System)?"
    No, myUdutu is not an LMS - it is purely a course authoring platform. However, Udutu has just released a beta version of their own LMS which works right in Facebook - probably the most popular online networking site used today. Instead of sending your friends and colleagues virtual flowers and other entertaining applications, you can send them something useful like a course on how to build a model airplane, or how to cook that special dish you've been telling them about! But you're not limited to simple, fun courses. You can create fully functional training courses designed for specific students and launch it right from within the Facebook interface. This new application lets you track learners and their results like any other LMS, although its capability is still limited in scope. This application is still in Beta and you are invited to sign up and try it out for yourself for free! Simply search for "Udutu Teach" or "Udutu Learn". When the application goes live in the Fall this year, there will be a charge of $5 per user, per course (unlimited access).
  • "How difficult is the tool to use and if it's free, do you offer support?"

    myUdutu is simple and user friendly. It puts the power of course development in your hands - all you need is a little imagination! We offer online support in the form of user-friendly tutorials and if you still need assistance, we will happily set up a one-on-one walk through session for you. Find out more.
